What Is the Law of Assumption?
The Law of Assumption is the belief that whatever you assume to be true becomes your reality. When you mentally and emotionally step into the version of yourself who already has your desire, you align with that reality — and life begins rearranging to reflect it.
This law is grounded in the idea that your inner state always creates your outer experience. You’re not waiting for proof before you believe; you believe first, and then the proof shows up.
Why It Works
Your subconscious mind is constantly listening. Every assumption you hold — whether empowering or limiting — influences your thoughts, emotions, decisions, and behaviors. When you shift your assumptions, you shift your energetic signal, and the world responds accordingly.
This is why people who believe “good things always happen to me” tend to experience more opportunities, while those who assume “I can never catch a break” often remain stuck.
How to Use the Law of Assumption
Here’s a practical way to start applying it in your life today:
1. Get Crystal Clear on Your Desire
Know exactly what you want. Vague desires create vague results.
2. Step Into That Version of You Now
Ask: How does the version of me who already has this think, speak, and act? Start embodying that now.
3. Feel the Reality of It
Don’t just imagine it — feel it in your body. Live in the emotional state of having it.
4. Persist Despite What You See
The physical world might not change instantly. Persist in your assumption and let the shift happen internally first.
A Nightly Visualization Technique:
One of my favorite ways to use the Law of Assumption is right before bed:
Close your eyes and picture a scene that could only be true if your desire were already fulfilled.
Feel the joy, peace, or excitement you’d naturally feel in that moment.
Fall asleep in that state so your subconscious mind absorbs it.
Over time, your outer world begins to reflect that inner certainty.
Real-Life Example
If your goal is to manifest a loving relationship, you don’t focus on the absence of love. Instead, you assume you are already loved, valued, and supported. You make decisions as that person, carry yourself with that energy, and naturally attract the kind of partner who reflects your assumption back to you.
The Key to Making It Stick
The Law of Assumption isn’t about forcing yourself to think positive — it’s about holding an inner conviction so strong that reality bends to match it. The more natural your assumption feels, the faster your life begins to align.
